2 TOPIC
/you’methane /
is an ancient mythological figure,
gas is a satellite of Saturn,
a romantic temperament,
a large vessel sunk.
TItano's was also the mountain on which rise the towers and castles of San Marino.
The design of the impossible, possesses the ability to view, production of thought that goes beyond the narrow confines of the production and simplified object, convenientistica and formal. Crossing, with sporadic interest, nomadic, romantic solipsism, design titanic compel artists invited to enter into the labyrinth of maze, nell'eterotopia focaultiana, thought that detonates and clears the language.
- We therefore ask, is the impossibility a condition?
- But above, what are the criteria and conditions of the possible and the impossible?
This project hypothesis (perhaps, rather, anti - design) is also an indication of important method for artists who are engaged in a training: wonder about the "condition" as sine qua non for the birth of a job as a part, the other the need to devise artistic work as an activity of thought, to dilate in a long period of time and articulated.
The final challenge is the inability of the Titan. Besides the thinkable, and therefore the language, over the place, beyond the experience. And for this reason measurement of language, places and experiences.

5 THE PROJECT AND ITS STAGES
Recall that the stages of /ti'tano / have been realized, the first in San Marino, at the Little Constellation Library Archive, last 14 and 15 October 2011, (dedicated to the amplification of the term "Titan", and all its potential semantic, from the variations possible etymologies) and the second from 6 November 8 2011 al NYLO Living Art Museum di Reykjavik, exposure during the preparatory workshop The Earth seen from the Sea.

The next (third) stage of /ti'tano / will take place within the exhibition The Earth seen from the Sea, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Villa Croce inGenoa 28 and 29 April 2012. Among the artists selected through 'open call, we will work around the problem of the distance, understood not as a limit, but as an opportunity for discussion, report and Travel. On this occasion there will be artists under 30, of micro-geo-cultural areas and small states as far away from their, (Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Iceland, Monaco, San Marino, Canton of Ticino, Milan and Genoa). We then introduce the theme that will lead to job design for WEYA 2012 – World Event Young Artists, Nottingham.
The fourth stage of /ti'tano /, will then develop within WEYA 2012 a Nottingham (UK) from 7 to the 15 September 2012 and will be dedicated to the idea of Titan and Titanism, intended as a working method (rather than formal content and iconic).
The fifth stage of /ti'tano /. The result of these workshops and these moments of joint work, will materialize as a special project of the Republic of San Marino (in collaboration with artists and cultural institutions of micro-geo-cultural areas and smaller states of Europe) to XVI Biennial of the Mediterranean, Ancona in June 2013 (for which it will make a further selection).
